Candidate recruitment privacy policy

Overview

We the Sutton Group of Companies (JBI Ltd., etc.) acting as the data controller, will not share your information with any third parties unless required or permitted to do so by law. We are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal information about you for the purposes of recruitment.

Information we collect

The application process will require you to provide various different types of information, such as your name, title, address, telephone number, and email address, date of birth, gender, employment history and qualifications. Certain applications may require additional information, which will be made clear during the application process. This information is required for us to properly process your application, so your application will be withdrawn if you do not provide the information to us. Other information that we collect is information received from recruitment agencies.

How your information will be used

By sending and/or entering your details you are allowing the Sutton Group of Companies to access and use the information you provide for the purpose of (a) assessing your application; (b) administering the Sutton Group of Companies recruitment process; (c) complying with legal or regulatory requirements.

How your information will be stored

The Sutton Group of Companies will store your details for the duration of the recruitment process. Your details will be stored on servers at E Sutton & Son Ltd., and or hard copy across the group. We will take reasonable technical and security measures to protect them. Your details will be deleted following a period of 12 months inactivity on your application. This period is set by The Sutton Group of Companies in the event of you accepting a Contract of Employment with the Sutton Group of Companies (E Sutton & Son Ltd etc.) your details will be retained by the Sutton Group of Companies as part of your contract with us.

Controlling your information

Should you (a) wish for us to remove your details (b) have any queries about how your information is handled, please call our data privacy controller on 01706 873355 or email us on info@jbifootwear.co.uk (c) after 12 months we will securely destroy your personal information in accordance with our Data Protection Policy, applicable laws and regulations.

You also have legal rights to (a) request your personal information; (b) request correction of the personal information that we hold about you; (c) object to particular processing of your personal information; (d) request the suspension of process of your personal information; or request the transfer of your personal information to another party.
